Meet the judge
My introduction to dogs started with my Father who was a Police dog handler, his 1st dog was a Doberman followed by several GSD’s.In 1984 my wife Sharon and I attended Crufts. We were instantly impressed by the Rhodesian Ridgebacks, who, to us stood apart from the other breeds. Later that year we brought into our home our 1st Rhodesian Ridgeback, ‘Kruger’. This was the start of our love affair with the breed. In 2024 we celebrated 40 years of that love affair.In 1987 I was one of the founding members of the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Association in the UK. In 2003 I became a committee member and have been Chairman for the last ten years.
I started judging our breed in 2007 and gave my 1st CC’s in 2021. I was honoured to be asked to judge for the Breed Clubs in Croatia in 2023 and Finland in 2024.
As a Judge I am looking for a Dog that meets the Standard, is fit for function with effortless movement, ensuring it’s capable of doing a day’s work.
